A faster paced scrabble game
|

If you like scrabble, but hate waiting while other players ponder, this is
the game for you. You don't take turns -- any player can call out a word they
see at any time, and other players words can be stolen if you can take one
of their words and add available letters to create a new word. This really
speeds up the game and makes it more exciting.
This was a gift to my eight year old daughter. She has always been a good
speller, but this game has helped build her vocabulary and spelling ability.
I have found that she is faster than I am at getting words. The only reason
I win more often than she does is because I know more words. In a few years
it will be a struggle for me to win when playing her.
One minor drawback: With the letters turned upside down, the yellow plastic
is thin enough that you can tell which ones are red before turning them
over. I recommend leaving the tiles in the cloth apple sack and reaching
in without looking to draw new tiles instead of turning them upside down
on the table.
I recommend Scrabble Apple for children and adults. My family enjoys it.

The term "toy" is not quite what my 9 year old would call this. He thinks if you read or spell during a game (and it's a weekend) it is a punishment...
As an adult that enjoys thinking games, this one is good. Not so great for beach play on a breezy day, as the tiles are light. I've adapted it to play solo too. Great alternative to Bananagrams. |

| A new twist on an old game, packs well without a game board. Fun to play and educational too. |
Great fun!

| I enjoy this game over regular scrabble because everyone is playing at once. It is good for eye to hand to brain to mouth coordination as well! |
